We specialize in curated, layered interiors that reflect our clients' unique styles and personalities. As our firm continues to rapidly expand, we are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly organized Selections Coordinator/Design Assistant.
Position Overview: The Selections... Coordinator/Design Assistant is responsible for assisting the interior design team with creating comprehensive design documentation and proposals, with a strong emphasis on digital capabilities and presentation skills. This role involves using digital tools such as Design Files, MyDoma, Programma, Canva, as well as Adobe InDesign, to produce high-quality floor plans, presentations, and construction documents. The Selections Coordinator/Design Assistant plays a critical role in creating design presentations while ensuring client satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication and organizational skills. This position is ideal for someone with experience in digital organization and stunning design presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Design Documentation:
• Create and manage detailed design documentation and proposals using digital tools such as Design Files, MyDoma, Programma, Canva, and Adobe InDesign.
• Ensure all documentation, approvals, revisions are accurate, complete, and filed appropriately.
2. Design Presentation:
• Prepare and present design concepts to clients, ensuring all proposals align with the overall design vision and project specifications.
• Provide clients and the design team with accurate floor plans, perspectives, as well as installation documents for each project.
• Develop accurate and visually appealing floor plans, elevations, and renderings to support design concepts and client presentations.
3. Digital Organization:
• Manage and organize the digital library, ensuring all materials and finishes are cataloged and easily accessible to the rest of the team for design projects.
• Maintain digital filing systems to streamline project workflows and improve efficiency.
• Ensure all documentation, approvals, revisions are accurate, complete, and filed appropriately
4. Client Communication:
• Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the design process, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns related to design selections and proposals.
• Participate in client meetings to review design documentation and obtain feedback.
5. Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with the Principal Designer to support the execution of design projects, providing assistance with digital documentation, presentations, including vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all design elements align with the overall project vision and client expectations.
• Collaborate with Principal Designer to strategize on how to best address the client’s needs.
• Assist in maintaining project timelines, ensuring all tasks and deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Attend site visits as needed from consultation to implementation.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, digital tools, and best practices in design and digital organization.
• Continuously seek ways to improve digital workflows and enhance the quality of design documentation and presentations.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design required
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and furnishings.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) and Google Suite
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Work Environment: The Selections Coordinator/Design Assistant will work primarily in an office environment but may also visit client sites, showrooms, and vendor locations. The role may require occasional lifting of sample materials and furnishings.
