They work with homeowners to bring their dream home to life through concept development, space planning, product sourcing for window treatments and furniture, cost analysis, and trend analysis. Our designers are creative salespeople that are specially trained and highly knowledgeable of the furniture industry. We're searching for someone motivated and driven, with residential design education, training, and experience. This individual will be responsible for working directly with homeowners through the entire design process. Driven, organized, and professional individuals who take pride in their work and their clients' satisfaction will be very successful. Compensation is uncapped commission with a base salary for the starting training period. You will benefit from a generous pipeline of leads from all new Schell Brothers homeowners. Requirements Duties/Responsibilities: • Relate to clients with excitement and empathy • Build trust with clients to facilitate long term sales relationships • Prepare for weekly design consultations with new clients and follow-up meetings with current clients • Follow Décor Direct’s unique design process • Space planning areas of home using Floorplanner software • Prepare client-ready visual boards of concept and furnishings • Understand and deploy proposals of competitive and profitable pricing of products and services • Follow up with clients every stage of the design process • Attend furniture deliveries for key accounts • Work in fast paced environment and produce a high volume of sales • Seek continuing education about vendors, products, fabrics, lead times, etc. Requirements: Preferred Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. • Comfortable with technology and experience with CRM and POS • Sales experience from nurturing leads to closing sales while managing the entire client sales journey. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. • Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail. • Design degree preferred but not necessary. • Experience in furniture and window treatment sales and pricing. • Experience in furniture space planning. • Must be able to collaborate with other Team Members. • Strong work ethic, reliable, punctual, and honest. • Ability to prioritize tasks. • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment. • Devoted, positive attitude and a strong commitment to service. • Able to work legally in the United States, with a valid, driver’s license, and clean driving record. • Willing to take a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of previous Design experience in similar positions. Minimum of 4 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times
