Design Consultant

Louisville Tile of Fort Wayne is seeking an experienced interior designer to serve as a design consultant in our retail showroom. Design consultants cater to the residential market through appointments, utilizing their interior design background to guide customers through the tile selection and design process. This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Applicants must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check. Louisville Tile has been a family-owned business for over 65 years with 13 locations across KY, OH, IN, MI, and TN. Benefits • 401(k) with employer match • Benefits after 30 days • Employer-paid life insurance, long-term disability, and employee assistance program • 7 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday Requirements Design Consultants - Showroom Sales Qualifications: • Interior Design Degree or 3 years of design sales experience • Established residential designer preferred • Ability to sketch designs for clients and installers • Ability to lift 40 lbs Design Consultants - Showroom Sales Desired Skills: • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to manage design projects from start to finish • Great communication skills with internal and external customers • Demonstrated desire to learn about technical aspects of tile installation and required products Primary Functions: • Provide design services for customers, including sketching for clients and installers • Work in tandem with a Project Coordinator to ensure seamless order management service for customers • Maintain and organize a visually appealing showroom • Manage and update samples, including ordering and organizing • Prepare for trade shows, home shows, and other events as required
