We are looking for a Design Assistant to support our design team across showroom updates and client projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative and logistical sides of design—helping bring ideas to life through visual presentations, accurate drawings, and well-coordinated material selections. This is a hands-on position with exposure to the full design process, from concept development to implementation. Key Responsibilities • Assist in designing and implementing updates to the showroom displays • Source and order materials for showroom and client projects • Create professional design boards for client presentations • Update and maintain drawings using Chief Architect to accurately reflect project spaces • Support designers with project coordination and documentation • Ensure selections, materials, and visuals align with overall design intent • Maintain organization of design samples, materials, and vendor information Qualifications • Experience or education in interior design, architecture, or a related field • Experience with (or willingness to learn) Chief Architect • Strong eye for design, color, and spatial layout • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Strong communication skills, both internal and client-facing • Experience with material sourcing or vendor coordination is a plus Benefits • Competitive salary based on experience • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off and holidays • Opportunities for growth in a stable, locally owned company • Collaborative, family-like team environment About AIM Kitchen & Bath AIM Kitchen & Bath has proudly served homeowners in the greater Des Moines area for more than 30 years.
