About Heritage School of Interior Design Heritage School of Interior Design is approved and regulated through the Colorado State Board of Higher Education; Division of Private Occupational Schools. We offer two certification programs: Fundamentals of Interior Design Certification and Interior Design Master Certification. Both programs are comprised of a series of courses to prepare students for an entry level career in the Interior Design industry. The certification programs at Heritage are accelerated and provide very practical and application-based knowledge and skills, providing a competitive edge in the industry. INDESIGN & PHOTOSHOP INSTRUCTOR for INTERIOR DESIGN Seeking part-time InDesign & Photoshop Instructor for a Private Interior Design Career School, offered under an independent contractor agreement for a minimum of 1 year. This 6-week course is held 3 times per year for 2.5 hours each Friday and requires a weekly time commitment of approximately 5-8 hours/week during sessions. We are looking for a qualified individual to begin teaching in September. Offering an hourly range of $35 - $45 based on experience. Job Responsibilities • Teach Digital Presentation Course (InDesign & Photoshop): held weekly for 2.5-hour sessions 3 times per year in the fall, winter and spring terms. Time commitment is approximately 5 - 8 hours/week during sessions. • Prepare class materials and exercises around existing and approved curriculum to ensure student achievement of learning objectives as well as student engagement and satisfaction. • Provide guidance and assistance to students on all projects and assignments. • Measure and grade student comprehension of assignments and final project against learning objectives. • Maintain and improve current curriculum content, presentation and instructional materials based on collaboration with the Director and as measured by student performance, feedback and direct observation. • Provide leadership, feedback and critique on student final project presentations. • Work with the Director to help ensure teaching strategies meet overall learning and business objectives. • Use technology to enhance teaching and the educational experience when appropriate. • Embrace and carry out the mission and values of Heritage School of Interior Design in all teaching endeavors. Minimum Work Experience/Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years experience working with a current version of these programs in an interior design application. • Ability to quickly and confidently utilize these applications for interior design drawings & renderings. • Residential and/or commercial interior design experience. • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. • Ability to organize and communicate with high attention to detail. • High level of general computer proficiency. • Preferred Work Experience/Qualifications • Knowledge of adult learning principles with experienced teaching application. Please submit your cover letter, resume, and portfolio to Rhonda Larson at rhonda@heritageschoolofinteriordesign.com OPERATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST This temporary role as Operations & Communications Specialist is approximately 18-24 hours/week in person on Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:30am – 2:30pm. Compensation is between $28 – $32/hour based on experience and skill level. Paid training will be provided. The role will be contracted independently between August – December, 2025 to provide coverage during a maternity leave. Possibility of extending into part-time employment in January, 2026. Job Responsibilities • Manage all prospective student inquiries and assist students through the application and enrollment process throughout the program. • Manage entire student journey effectively and efficiently using Zoho platform. • Manage and organize all studio & showroom tours and guest speakers. • Manage HSID Denver Instagram account, gathering and posting appropriate content 3 days per week and collaborating with main account. • Manage Linked-In account by posting once per week. • Provide course & program support to instructors and executive director, including material updates, term preparation, and processing graduation requirements. • Maintain student records and provide all necessary student support regarding their records. • Provide communication and liaison support to current students and alumni as needed. • Post available job opportunities and help students connect with career opportunities upon graduation and beyond. • Help maintain organization of design resource library & obtain samples when needed. • Open school on scheduled basis, oversee inventory of classroom & office supplies, maintain classroom facilities by tidying and organizing as needed. Minimum Experience/Qualifications • 2 -4 years administrative experience. • Excellent verbal & written communication skills. • Highly personable, approachable, professional demeanor with networking mentality. • Able to prioritize and manage a dynamic workload. • Able to work independently or within a team. • Computer expertise in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva. • Some working knowledge with Customer Relation Management (CRM) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). • High attention to detail & accuracy. • Initiative & willingness to learn and stretch skill sets when needed. • Strong organizational skills and efficient time management. • Strong technical abilities. • Social media savvy. • Familiarity with local Interior Design industry partners and resources.
