Interior Design Office Assistant
Responsibilities • Help manage several different interior design projects and direct inquiries appropriately • Correspondence with clients, trade and vendors professionally, providing exceptional customer service • Perform data entry, filing, and document proofreading to maintain accurate project records • Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Studio Designer, including invoicing and expense tracking • Assist with updating and maintaining online shop via Shopify • Support office management tasks such as organization of files, and maintaining a tidy workspace • Provide administrative support including typing correspondence, preparing presentations, and managing emails • Coordinate appointments and meetings, ensuring efficient scheduling and follow-up • Offer customer support by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally • Utilize office software skills to streamline daily operations and improve workflow efficiency Requirements • Proven experience in office management, clerical work, or administrative support within a professional setting • Proficiency with Google Workspace applications, Shopify, and Studio Designer (or comparable platforms for invoicing) • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and proofreading abilities • Experience with bookkeeping is preferred but not mandatory • Excellent phone etiquette • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure • Strong computer literacy, typing skills, and time management capabilities • Previous experience in customer service or personal assistant roles is desirable • This position is integral to maintaining an efficient office environment that supports our interior design projects. Experience in Sketchup is a plus • Experience on construction site is a plus Melanie Lynn Interiors has a great work environment and Principal Designer gives flexible work hours when needed.
