Part Time Interior Design Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Interior Design Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces. As an Interior Design Assistant, you will be responsible for providing aid to Principal Designer in various design aspects. Duties: - Aid in administrative tasks - Create detailed plans, drawings, mood boards, and/or 3D renderings using software such as Sketchup and AutoCAD - Project Managing including but not Iimited to: ordering, tracking and supervision of projects - Help manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through completion - Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure design specifications are met when asked Skills: - Proficiency in budgeting and cost estimation for interior design project -Excellent management skills, able to think/act quickly, attention to detail - Project management abilities to oversee timelines, budgets, and resources effectively - Proficient in drafting software like AutoCAD -Knowledge of textile & wallcoverings, hard surface materials, etc. • Experience in Sketchup is a plus • Experience on construction site is a plus • Experience using StudioDesigner is a plus Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or previous experience working in the field - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -CAD experience - Comfortable being on job sites Melanie Lynn Interiors is a small but busy design studio specializing in custom single-family homes.
