As an Adjunct Interior Design Instructor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives while driving change in education. Assist with student organizations and contribute to a vibrant campus life. Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment conducive to learning. • The ability to recognize and respond to the individual differences of students from a culturally diverse student population. • Willingness to make students active partners in the teaching and learning process.

Join the IRSC Team At Indian River State College (IRSC), you’ll do more than just build a career—you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting our students, staff, and faculty. • Preparing, instructing and grading all class coursework • Assigning final grades • Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours online or on campus to meet with students • Assisting with program development, recruiting and implementing department objectives • Participating in college committees • Assisting with student organizations • Supporting professional advisory committees • Assuming day or evening teaching assignments • Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. • Master’s degree in interior design • Florida State Interior Design License • Required field experience • The ability to recognize and respond to the individual differences of students from a culturally diverse student population • Willingness to make students active partners in the teaching and learning process • Teaching experience is preferred • All instructors must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

• Retirement Radiance: Picture your future shining as bright as your career! Faculty may be assigned to teach at any IRSC campus, which change according to the needs of the program/department. • Monitors and maintains all equipment and supplies needed for instruction in classroom and lab(s). • During the contract period is responsible to the College for 40 hours per week to include office hours, committee work, student advisement, and classroom teaching activities, etc. • Minimum of five (5) years of proven work experience in architecture, interior design, or environmental design.
