The Kitchen Designer at The Home Depot assists customers with kitchen and bath renovation projects by providing design consultations and product recommendations. This role involves guiding clients through the design process, managing showroom displays, and facilitating sales through expert advice and project support.

Responsibilities Develop comprehensive interior design concepts using Chief Architect to visualize and communicate ideas effectively.Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for interior spaces, including lighting design and color schemes, ensuring alignment with client needs and project requirements.Conduct site visits during renovation and construction phases to oversee progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure adherence to design specifications.Source materials, furnishings, lighting fixtures, and finishes that meet aesthetic goals and budget constraints.Draft contracts and scope of work documents; negotiate terms with suppliers and contractors to secure the best value for clients.Stay updated on industry trends in remodeling, interior design, CAD drafting techniques, and new product innovations to continuously elevate project quality.Experience Proven experience in interior design or related fields with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects such as remodeling or renovation.Proficiency in Chief Architect for Powerpoint markup and collaboration.Solid understanding of drafting standards, color theory principles, CAD workflows, and construction documentation processes.Knowledge of budgeting strategies and client communication skills.Familiarity with plumbing and lighting design principles; experience in remodeling projects is highly desirable.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.

The Designer will drive the vision for our brand design efforts by creating attractive, branded environments that support the desired customer experience for different location types and various formats. Review design budgets, materials, and value engineering to ensure standards coincide with branch format business case. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Extensive knowledge of kitchen cabinet design, product offerings and related vendors. • Proficient and able to create designs within 20/20 software. • Ability to work a retail schedule. • Interior design and other building material project knowledge helpful. • Able to sit and work with PC related work for long periods of time.

Working with Chief Architect is a requirement, and must be able to measure, & produce buildable luxury home plans for remodeling. • Design development to produce buildable plans. • Build a complete design packet that incorporates architectural plans/ interior color renderings/ interior elevations as well as product data that matches homeowner selections. • Must be able to articulate budget increases and decreases to customers with accuracy based on the selections & decisions of sophisticated clients.
