Since 2008, Studio MH has been a full-scale residential and commercial design firm working on all aspects of interior design, from drawing custom homes to overseeing the details of the décor. The Founder and her team have experience in a wide variety of projects including historical renovations, new residences, healthcare, urban condominiums, rural farmhouses and upscale commercial spaces.
About the Role
Studio MH is seeking a VP of Finance & Operations to provide operational leadership and financial stewardship across the firm. This role is a direct partner to the Founder & CEO and is responsible for building the internal structure that allows the creative team to do exceptional design work with consistency, clarity, and precision.
This is a dual-focus leadership position. The primary responsibility is operational oversight, ensuring projects move forward on schedule, resources are aligned, and systems support excellence in execution. The secondary responsibility is financial management, maintaining accurate books, managing receivables and payables, and safeguarding the financial health of the firm.
The right person is organized, steady, detail-oriented, and experienced in both managing people and implementing systems. They bring discipline to processes while respecting the creative heartbeat of a design-led organization.
Operational Leadership
· Own firm-wide project management systems and workflows
· Implement and maintain structured tracking systems
· Manage team workload and resource allocation
· Track inventory and procurement schedules
· Build and enforce operational best practices
· Serve as central point of accountability
Financial Management
· Manage accounts receivable and payable
· Maintain accurate bookkeeping
· Own invoicing and payment tracking
· Track project budgets
· Partner with CPA
· Deliver financial reporting
Qualifications
· Experience in operations leadership
· Knowledge of accounting principles
· Experience with AR/AP
· Leadership experience
· Strong systems thinker
· Software proficiency
