Visual Design Intern

Summary: Are you interested in obtaining Interior Design Experience? Are you studying to become the next in-home designer featured on HGTV? We are seeking Design Students or Recent Graduates to participate in our In-Home Design Internship program at Ashley Homestore. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Ability to work in an office or retail location · Must be able to utilize excel and maintain tracking spreadsheets · Flexible to react to changing priorities and able to prioritize and deliver in a deadline-oriented environment · Ability to understand a basic floor plan · Proficiency in Microsoft Office · Ability to work as part of a team, or independently with little direct supervision · Support team with administrative needs · Assists with inventory counts. · Process inbound product, process shipments, tagging and placement on floor per plan. Manages receiving, unpacking, and tagging of accessories. Distributes accessories and wall décor optimally throughout showroom display areas · Reviews clearance/discontinued reports. Re-prices clearance accessory products. Effectively displays clearance products. Required Experience: · Organized and great attention to detail · Data entry experience · Ability to operate computers, copy and fax machines easily · Strong communication skills · Knowledge of design or project management is a PLUS
