Studio Director - Interior Design

The Role: We're partnering with a vibrant and well-established interior design studio in Austin to find a Studio Director - a leader who thrives on collaboration, project excellence, and team mentorship. Known for delivering thoughtful, functional interiors (particularly in the Healthcare, Higher Education & Commercial). This studio offers an exciting opportunity to work side-by-side with ownership while helping shape the future of the firm. This role is ideal for a senior level PM/Interior Designer with strong documentation and project leadership skills, a sharp design sensibility, and a passion for guiding teams through all phases of project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Lead the studio's most high-profile projects from concept through completion. • Mentor and manage a team of talented designers, supporting their growth and development. • Collaborate directly with the owner on firm-wide strategy, staffing, and design direction. • Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and quality standards. • Represent the studio in client meetings and consultant coordination. • Contribute to a positive, collaborative studio culture built on trust and creativity. What We're Looking For • 10+ years of interior design experience, with leadership responsibilities. • Some Healthcare experience a MUST - Also commercial or higher education. • Experience managing projects and design teams across all phases. • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. • Strong communication, organization, and mentorship skills. • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field. • Interior design license preferred (or in progress).
