Skilled Craftsman – Custom Woodworker | Furniture/Millwork | Decorative Metal Fabricator VCG Global is hiring for a full-time position with competitive compensation depending on experience. Established in 2005, VCG Global, Inc. is a premier design build company that integrates architectural design, as well as decorative metalwork, custom millwork and furniture. Our services include a full range of equipment: complete metal and wood shop, hybrid CO2laser, CNC router, paint room, design and engineering. Projects include architectural woodwork, custom residential and commercial furniture, custom tables, wine rooms, theater rooms, custom built-in wall systems, oversized ornamental chimney hoods, custom trellis and awning, and decorative gates and railings. Clients include companies such as the Sacramento Kings, Google, Facebook, Sawyer Hotel and Christian Dior. We work with leading interior designers, contractors and architects across the nation. We strive to exceed our customers’ expectations; we challenge ourselves to design and build products with more refinement and design elements then our customers expect. We are looking to hire a skilled craftsman that has a high degree of integrity, humility and respect for others. The individual will be very detail orientated and self-motivated. We offer standard hours with a focus on project deadlines. Our customer's quality requirements are very high; therefore, we can only produce at the highest level of craftsmanship. This job will require occasional traveling for overnight installations and/or project management. Travel expenses will be covered by VCG Global. We value our employee's safety and will pay for any necessary training. We do drug testing and perform background checks. It is a requirement to be able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis. Experience Requirements: \\- Two (2) years of CAD knowledge/experience \\- Mechanical engineering knowledge to take designs to fabrication \\- Two (2) years of fabrication experience: Furniture, Millwork, Cabinets, Decorative Metal \\- Two (2) years Finish Carpentry experience \\- Two (2) years of Installation experience \\- Strong cabinet, Furniture, wall system construction and fabrication \\- Accurate site survey with precise measurements for fabrication \\- Ability to develop engineering drawings for the production floor is a plus \\- Operating Knowledge of CNC equipment is a plus \\- Operating Knowledge of CO2 laser equipment is a plus \\- Surface laminating and edge banding \\- Coatings and finishing experience are a plus \\- Glass/mirror Installation is a plus \\- LED Lighting installation and low voltage systems We strive to exceed our customers’ expectations; we challenge ourselves to design and build products with more refinement and design elements than our customers expect.
