Position Overview
The Showroom Designer is responsible for creating an engaging and inspiring environment within the design showroom that reflects the firm’s aesthetic and brand identity. This role combines interior design expertise, space planning, and client service to ensure the showroom functions as both a creative showcase and a sales tool.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, an understanding of materials and finishes, and the ability to translate design trends into compelling, functional showroom displays that support sales and client presentations.
Showroom Design & Presentation
• Plan, design, and execute showroom layouts and displays that highlight the firm’s design philosophy, products, and services.
• Regularly update vignettes and displays to reflect seasonal trends, new collections, or client-focused themes.
• Maintain showroom aesthetics, ensuring all spaces are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Source and style furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, and accessories for showroom displays.
Client Engagement & Support
• Welcome clients and visitors, providing guided tours and explanations of showcased designs.
• Collaborate with designers and sales staff to assist clients in material and product selections.
• Prepare mood boards, sample presentations, and digital visualizations to support client consultations.
Collaboration & Coordination
• Work closely with the design and procurement teams to manage inventory of samples, furniture, and materials.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for product installation, maintenance, and updates.
• Assist in planning and executing showroom events, product launches, and client showcases.
Administrative & Technical Duties
• Maintain records of showroom assets, pricing, and product specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and accessibility requirements.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in interior design, showroom design, or visual merchandising (preferably in a design firm or luxury retail environment).
• Strong aesthetic sense, attention to detail, and ability to create cohesive design concepts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage projects in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of luxury furniture, finishes, and design brands.
• Experience with space planning and styling for residential interiors.
• Familiarity with marketing or visual merchandising principles.
