Showroom Design Specialist

We are a rapidly expanding residential remodel company in the Kitchen and Bath Industry seeking a Showroom Design Specialist to be an integrated member of our team. We have an immediate opening for an experienced hardworking individual who is dedicated and knowledgeable in design/build services within a professional environment. As the Showroom Design Specialist you will use your design skills and product knowledge to assist customers in selecting the materials that will achieve their design and durability objectives. Qualifications: • 2-years-minimum experience within a professional Home Renovation environment. Looking for candidates with backgrounds in design and sales. Prior experience with interior design and knowledge of kitchen and bath components is a must • Detail oriented, organized and dedicated to providing high quality work and service • Must have excellent presentation and communication/people skills • Familiar with home renovation, addition or remodeling • 5 day work week • Professionally and technically competent • A valid CA driver’s license • Good basic computer skills: MS Office emails • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus • Proficient with a computer to effectively communicate with homeowners and all levels of the Design Team, including architects, engineers, project managers and superintendents • Language Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with solid verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to speak effectively and professionally with internal/external customers. Engage customers by active listening and providing solutions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Expected Duties: • Responsible for greeting and welcoming customers promptly to ensure the showroom atmosphere is professional, warm, and inviting. • Assists and engages customers by using product knowledge to answer questions and assist with design ideas. • Assists our Design Consultants with their kitchen, bath, entertainment center, fireplace, etc designs using up to date software like 20/20 Design, SketchUp and other product software • Assists and engages customers by using product knowledge to answer questions and assist with design ideas • Assists with showroom merchandizing and overall showroom display design to make products visually exciting, as well as ensure the showroom is professional, clean, and organized • Develops and maintains product knowledge for all products on showroom and design center space • Maintains and stays up to date with design trends • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.
