Showroom Associate - Lighting & Interior Design

Job Summary Alcott & Bentley is a locally owned, boutique-style lighting and home décor showroom located in a high-traffic area of the Highlands. We specialize in helping clients select stylish, functional lighting for their homes while also offering an eclectic mix of gifts and décor. We’re looking for a motivated, design-minded Showroom Associate to join our team. This can be an entry-level position with training provided, making it ideal for recent graduates or those looking to make a career change into the interior design or lighting industry. This role is a unique opportunity to grow into a lighting designer position within a specialized and creative niche. If you love design, enjoy working with people, and have a strong interest in lighting and interiors, we’d love to meet you. No previous experience in the lighting industry is required. Design background is preferred. As a team member at Alcott & Bentley, you will learn the art of lighting design. What You'll Do • Welcome and assist clients in selecting lighting and home décor • Learn lighting design fundamentals through hands-on training • Maintain visual presentation of the showroom and merchandise new product • Create content for social media (Instagram, Reels, Stories, Pinterest, etc.) • Work closely with builders, designers, and homeowners on lighting selections • Support day-to-day showroom operations and client follow-up This Role Is a Great Fit If You… • Recently graduated with a degree in interior design or a related field • Are looking to shift into a creative, design-oriented career • Are passionate about home styling and lighting • Enjoy helping people create beautiful spaces • Are detail-oriented, friendly, and eager to learn • Have an eye for photography or content creation (a plus!)
