About the position
Responsibilities
• Develop innovative and appropriate design solutions on healthcare and higher education projects.
• Create overall design concepts from inception to completion.
• Conduct research and develop project presentations for client and business development opportunities.
• Provide finish material selection/specifications.
• Prepare construction documents through construction administration.
• Provide mentorship and creative direction to the design team.
• Collaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach.
• Manage experience level appropriate projects from Concept to Project Completion.
• Interact and communicate with clients while balancing production mindset.
• Basic project management including project schedules, project budget, workload schedules, staff mentorship and oversight.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in interior design or interior architecture from accredited institution.
• 8-10 years professional experience in a commercial design firm using Revit/BIM 360.
• Excellent design, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of construction, interior materials, details, methods, and standard building codes.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with a strong work ethic.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from Concept to Project Completion.
• Healthcare and Higher Ed Project experience in a commercial design/architecture firm.
Nice-to-haves
• CIDQ preferred.
• Business Development experience not required but preferred.
