As a Senior Interior Designer at Ware Malcomb, you will lead all aspects of the design process and strategy to create spaces that meet the highest standards of design and functionality. You will guide and mentor team members, collaborate with project teams, and ensure project outcomes meet design intent. Your Role • You will meet with clients to develop ongoing relationships and determine clients' project goals. • You will follow projects from inception through construction in order to maintain design quality and intent. • You will conduct programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting, and color coordination. • You will prepare and conduct client presentations. • You will be responsible for selection and specification of furniture, lighting, flooring, wall covering, and artwork. You will estimate material requirements and preliminary costs. • You will solicit bids and assist the Project Manager and client in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of the required materials, finishes, and furnishings. • You will support the Construction Administration phase by responding to RFI's and CO's and reviewing shop drawings. • You will keep the project team on schedule and budget while providing a cohesive design. • You will implement and utilize the best practices of Ware Malcomb for all projects and processes. • You will coordinate with Project Managers and junior team members in correctly documenting design. • You may mentor and direct the work of less experienced team members and deliver performance evaluations. • You will contribute to office activities and stay involved in design community organizations. Qualifications • You should have 10+ years of experience in Interior Architecture Design. • You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture. • Accreditation/Registration/Licensure or Pursuing Accreditation/Registration/Licensure preferred. • You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. • You should be able to create complete presentation packages. • Experience in Deltek Vision, Newforma, and MS Office preferred. • Experience in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup. • Proficiency in Revit. • Advanced knowledge of building regulations and safety codes.
