Senior Higher Education Interior Designer

About the position Responsibilities • Define design or project elements and processes to meet client needs. • Participate in and coordinate estimates and proposal/bid preparations. • Plan and develop design projects with unique complexities that impact major company programs. • Participate in conceptual design and provide support throughout the project lifecycle. • Coordinate with project management, architects, and other designers on technical solutions. • Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide guidance. • Perform quality control reviews and ensure key milestones are achieved. • Conduct field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects. • Supervise direct reports, including hiring and performance management. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor's or master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university. • Minimum of five years related experience in architectural planning and design. • Minimum of two years practical CADD experience. • Minimum of five years' experience in space planning, architecture, facilities management, or related fields. • High degree of competency in CAD and graphics software packages. • Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, and creative vision.
