About this role

Hamilton Park Interiors is looking for a creative team member with retail sales experience for our Interior Design staff to work our retail showroom. We are looking for someone motivated, fun, creative, a people person and a good team player to join our award winning staff. This is a full time position. Need to be able to work during our showroom hours which are Monday-Saturday from 9:30-6. Sometimes client needs extend outside of these hours and you'll need to be willing to accommodate. This position will start as salary with bonus but can be changed to commission with bonus if requested. pay structure also includes benefits. Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: • Working with retail clients on our showroom floor • Working on both furniture and construction design projects • Marketing to maintain client relationships • Pricing • Sending quotes • Entering orders • Creating digital client presentations • Designing color palettes and layouts for clients • Going to clients homes for consultations • Doing virtual consultations with clients • Going on installs to ensure furniture is placed correctly and accessorized • Designing completed rooms including bedding and window treatments • Spec fixed finishes for remodels or new build projects • Draw layouts and elevations • Work with subs and builders to decrease delays on projects and increase efficiency • Maintaining monthly revenue sales Qualifications Qualifications for this position are: • Must have retail experience and design experience • Experience working a retail showroom • Must have the ability to connect with walk in clients • Sales and people skills are required • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, etc • Type 60 words or more per minute • Have basic computer skills including programs like Google slides, Pages, etc • Hardworking • Sketchup or other drawing skills are appreciated • Be a go getter • Ability to work well under pressure • Can stay organized when working on multiple projects • Ability and willingness to learn • A team player • Knowledge of furniture and architectural styles • Have an eye for color and design • Be self motivated and able to self manage
