Our Richmond gallery is located in a restored 1908 Manchester freight dock and operates alongside a bistro and bar—creating a hospitality-driven retail experience focused on engagement, repeat visits, and thoughtful design.
Role OverviewPrimary Responsibility
Drive furniture sales through consistent client engagement, design guidance, follow-up, and closing. All other responsibilities support this core objective.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Client Engagement
Actively sell on the showroom floor
Lead client conversations from initial engagement through purchase
Guide product selection, layout, and design decisions
Conduct proactive outreach and follow-up to generate and advance opportunities
Take ownership of moving clients toward a clear buying decision and close
In-Home Consultation (Shared Responsibility)
Conduct scheduled in-home visits (measure, assess, photograph)
Translate client needs into clear, actionable proposals
Maintain consistent follow-up to drive projects toward close
Track all activity within CRM systems
Participate in a shared rotation of consultations based on team capacity and business needs
Conversion & Proposal Development
Develop accurate, well-structured proposals that convert to sales
Guide clients through decision-making and project finalization
Identify opportunities to increase close rate and overall project size
Showroom & OperationsShowroom Presentation
Maintain overall showroom presentation and merchandising quality
Execute and refine layouts to support sales performance
Ensure all displays are accurate, clean, and aligned with brand standards
Order & Systems Management
Process Shopify orders accurately
Submit and manage orders within AirTable
Ensure all project details are complete and correctly recorded
CRM Accountability
Maintain strong HubSpot hygiene (all qualified leads entered within 24 hours)
Track consultations, proposals, outreach, and follow-ups
Maintain clear visibility into pipeline and active opportunities
Team Contribution
Support team members with product knowledge and sales approach
Assist with onboarding and reinforcement of operational standards
Act as a consistent, reliable presence in day-to-day showroom execution
Ideal Background
2+ years in furniture, interior design, or high-ticket retail sales
Proven ability to close (not just provide customer service)
Comfortable managing multiple client projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented with strong systems discipline (CRM, order entry, follow-up)

Pay: $24.00 per hour
