Overview
Interior design store seeking front desk Sales Associate. Interior Design interest a definite plus! Must have exceptional communication and customer service skills. Must possess the ability to work within a small team, as well as the ability to work alone and self-manage responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Greet and assist customers both in store and via the phone.
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions, including payment processing, cash handling, and end-of-day reporting.
• Daily correspondence and clean-up of emails
• Wrap and carry items to customer's car as needed.
• Assist with design of floor sets. Keep all sets full and replenished as items sell.
• Create and manage client work orders with vendors.
• Manage multiple lists for client installs. Keep track of items coming in and out of store.
• Must learn vendor merchandise and pricing in order to answer customer questions and provide quotes.
• Add items to inventory and place custom orders.
• Occasional assistance unboxing and tagging new items, as well as taking packing materials to dumpster
• Re-stock merchandise, organize inventory, and ensure products and showroom are well-presented for optimal shopping appeal
Skills
• Familiarity with POS systems (Shopify a plus!) and cash register operations for seamless checkout processes
• Knowledge of basic calculations for pricing and discounts
• Ability to manage cash responsibilities accurately with attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
