This is an inside design sales , paid internship. You will work directly with clients in our impressive 4000 sf showroom where you'll assist them in space planning, organization & design decisions. Every day brings a variety of design projects: master walk-in closets, kitchen pantries, children's nurseries, custom wine cellars, garage systems and more! You will also take inbound calls from national customers with design requests and/or questions regarding our products and services. Once seasoned, there is always opportunity to expand to outside sales or move up to management positions. Qualifying candidates will have a certificate or degree in Interior Design or similar industry, possess excellent verbal & written communication skills, be a great listener & very organized. Training on our specific design tools and products will be provided, however, you must understand units of measurements & be spatially aware. • Passion for organization & home improvement • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Be very organized & be a great listener • Have a keen eye for detail • Understand sales pipeline management skills to successfully work with multiple clients • Have a “social pulse” as we rely heavily on social media to market our products & services • Be available on Saturdays • Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements, goals, and budget • Develop design concepts and present them to clients for approval • Create detailed drawings, renderings, and specifications using CAD software such as AutoCAD • Collaborate with clients to select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories for each project • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design software and techniques We provide full training with our design tools, however, experience with CAD design tools will put you ahead of the curve: 2020, Cabinet Vision, KCD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect and/or other similar design software. Job Type: Full-time - Long Term - Hourly Salary is determined by experience and skill set. Health Benefits, Vision, Oregon Shares, Employee Discount after probationary period.
