BSA LifeStructures is a well-established and leading Architecture, Engineering and Interior Design firm which specializes in Healthcare, Higher Education and Research Facility design. We are currently accepting applications for a Summer 2022 Interior Design Intern for our Raleigh, NC location. If you are interested in joining a collaborative learning environment, please apply! The purpose of this position is to assist in the completion of client projects by planning and implementing the design solutions for interior design. • *Essential Duties and Responsibilities** • Assist designers with creating, planning, and managing interior design projects. • Assist designers in developing optimal design solution for projects that meet the clients needs and represent the companys standard quality of design. • Document projects via construction documents and specifications effectively, and in accordance with established design standards as well as those set by official governing agencies. • Maintain interiors library; meet with vendor representatives; maintain control books. • *Secondary Duties and Responsibilities** • Promote companys reputation through good client and vendor relations. • Continue to develop design skills and pursue opportunities for continued education on topics related to the field of Interior Design. • May be required to perform other duties as assigned. • *Critical Skills and Abilities** • **Effective communication skills:** Able to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; reads and interprets complex information; listens well. • **High accuracy and attention to detail:** Able to perform work and job function with precision and accuracy; realizes errors can have significant impact on desired results and is able to avoid errors in almost all circumstances; carefully monitors processes; concentrates on details and organizes and maintains a system of records. • **Design:** Generates creative solutions; translates concepts and information into images; uses feedback to modify designs; applies design principles; demonstrates attention to detail. • **Computer skills required:** Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel Project -- beneficial but not required; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps; AutoCAD, Revit, 3-D CAD, Graphic Software: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop • *BSA LifeStructures is an Equal Opportunity Employer** • *Qualifications** • *Skills** • *Behaviors** • *:** • *Motivations** • *:** • *Education** • *Preferred** Some college or better in Interior Architecture.
