Project Interior Designer

Fig & Birch Interiors is seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer specializing in large-scale residential projects with an emphasis on soft goods, furniture layout and decor. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our retail interior designers, taking the lead on complex design projects and guiding clients through every stage from concept to completion. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, developing comprehensive design plans, and ensuring seamless execution. Responsibilities: • Project Qualification & Client Management: Work with sales floor designers to qualify potential large project clients, set project expectations, and nurture strong client relationships. • Comprehensive Design Development: Conduct in-depth consultations to understand client preferences, lifestyle, and project requirements. Develop detailed design plans, including space planning, furniture layouts, material selections, lighting, and accessories. • Visual Presentations: Create compelling 3D renderings, mood boards, and presentations using CAD or similar software to effectively communicate design concepts and secure client approval. • Product Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of all product lines carried by Fig & Birch Interiors, serving as a key resource for both clients and showroom staff on design trends and product specifications. • Collaboration: Partner effectively with sales floor designers, ensuring a smooth transition of projects and providing expert guidance. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-end interior design, with a strong portfolio of large-scale residential or commercial projects. • Proficiency in 3D rendering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 2020 Design, FloorPlanner). • Demonstrated expertise in selecting and specifying furniture, soft goods, lighting and decor. • Exceptional communication, presentation, and client management skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. • A passion for design and a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift small-to-medium sized items. • Ability to effectively move around the showroom, warehouse and office. • Ability to stand for prolonged amounts of time. • Licensed to drive and access to a vehicle is preferred.
