JOB DESCRIPTION Nicole Hogarty Designs is a boutique, full-service design firm located in the heart of Boston’s South End. We are a well-established firm thoughtfully growing and seeking an experienced Junior Designer to join our team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Works closely with the full design team supporting all phases of the design process · Maintain comprehensive project and design documentation · Develops and maintains project budgets, schedules, and tracking sheets · Prepares internal/external presentations per design direction · Manages routine reviews at key design stages with Principal Designer and design team · Requests samples and quotes from vendors for furnishings, fixtures, and finishes · Coordinate with vendors, contractors, sales reps, and sub-contractors as needed · Travels to the job site, design center, and retail stores as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture · 1 – 2 years of experience in a residential design firm / setting · Strong experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and InDesign · Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based file systems · Knowledge of design process - FF&E, specifications, finish, and material selections · Knowledge of local and online showrooms, resources, and industry trends · Strong written and verbal communication abilities · Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task. · Has the ability to manage their workload independently on multiple projects simultaneously, while still working as a team with others · Demonstrated leadership skills, and outstanding problem-solving · Must have a valid MA driver’s license COMPENSATION · Competitive and based on experience · Paid vacations as well as a paid week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day · 401K savings with Employer Match, transportation, and health care contributions · Bi-annual performance-based bonus · Weekly office perks
