Description Our Schumacher North America Sales Team is seeking a Part-Time Retail Sales Intern for our Charlotte Boutique. This role will report to the Retail Sales Manager. Skills • 1-2 years of experience working in a retail or showroom environment. • Ability to multitask and be proactive in a fast-paced environment. • Able to handle some lifting (20-50 lbs max). • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the luxury interior design industry. • Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills. • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative. • Proficiency in MS Windows and Office suite. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Positive attitude. Responsibilities • Maintain sample room inventory by ordering samples and filing replenishments. • Handle client sample requests, both over the phone and in person. • Support the wholesale sales team and assist with visual aspects of the showroom. • Gather and ship samples to clients. • Maintain the showroom floor by hanging new products and removing discontinued products. • Maintain showroom collateral (marketing materials, shopping bags, supplies, etc.). • Greet retail clients and offer assistance. • Process payments for purchases and package purchases. • Inspect shipments of new stock for accuracy and damage. • Provide support for general showroom requests and projects. • Monitor and order inventory for the retail boutique. • Oversee visual merchandising of the store. • Keep the store fully stocked. • Organize and plan in-store events for clients. Qualifications • 1-2 years of experience in retail or showroom settings. • Knowledge of luxury interior design is a plus. • Exceptional organizational and communication skills. • Positive and proactive attitude. Education Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework or certifications in retail or design preferred.
