Non-CDL Driver/Furniture Mover

INTERIORS HOME is looking for a reliable, full time, DOT, non-CDL delivery driver and furniture handler to join our distribution center team. This is a safety-sensitive position and requires a human performance evaluation and DOT physical and drug test prior to final offer of employment. The Delivery Foreman leads a 2-3 person delivery services team. Serving as the primary driver of a 26-foot box truck, this individual also actively participates in loading, delivery, unloading, placement, assembly and removal of furnishings to and from the showrooms, distribution center, and customer homes. Light maintenance and cleaning of the trucks is expected.. This individual may also act as team leader for all driver and assistant teams. Based in Lancaster, the work schedule may be Monday through Friday 7:00-3:30, Tuesday through Saturday 7:00-3:30, or a hybrid schedule depending upon need. This is a safety-sensitive position and requires a human performance evaluation and DOT physical and drug test prior to final offer of employment. The successful candidate will bring to the position: • 2-3 years experience in furniture moving; • 1-2 years experience as a successful crew or team leader; • 1-2 years of experience safely operating a 26-foot box truck • Active Pennsylvania drivers license with clean driving record; • Proven ability to lift, carry, pull and push/shove 100 lbs without assistance; • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools; • Interest in acquiring and/or maintaining DOT certification.
