Responsibilities
• Work in tandem with the Principal and Senior Designers to develop plans and interior design concepts
• Work with the Principal to source and select finishes, fixtures, lighting, hardware & accessories.
• Act as liaison with clients, contractors, and vendors regarding the technical aspects of the project
• Coordinate and produce construction and design documents.
• Review and detail shop drawings for construction plans.
• Manage and review schedules, construction details, and project deliverables.
• Ensures regular reviews at key design stages with the Principal Designer
• Travels to the job site, design center, and showrooms as needed.
• Prepare presentation materials.
Qualifications
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Interior Design / Architecture
• 3+ years of experience in a residential design setting
• A solid competency in the technical aspects of construction
• Strong experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and InDesign
• Knowledge of design process - FF&E, specifications, finish, and material selections
• Knowledge of local and online showrooms, resources, and industry trends
• Comfortable and confident communicating with vendors, subcontractors and clients
• Contribute to a small studio environment with flexibility, problem-solving and good judgment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control, with capacity to work independently and multitask.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based file systems
• Must have a valid MA drivers license
