The Lead Project Architect is pivotal in overseeing the technical execution of new construction and base building initiatives. This role involves providing design and technical expertise during project administration, design development, and the preparation of construction documents. This position guarantees high technical standards, effective integration of building systems, and compliance with organizational standards, facilitating seamless project delivery from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities Ensure technical compliance with firm-wide standards by providing insightful guidance on new constructions and base building projects.Lead project teams in producing comprehensive construction documents (CDs) encompassing core, shell, and site elements.Review CDs to confirm adherence to design standards, structural integrity, building systems, regulations, zoning laws, and accessibility requirements.Collaborate with design teams to deliver innovative solutions for intricate building systems and site coordination challenges.Oversee coordination with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and specialty consultants.Manage the contract administration budget, promptly notifying the PM and/or client of potential budget discrepancies.Supervise technical staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback on project tasks.Conduct client interviews to identify technical needs and project aspirations.Engage in permitting processes and address agency review comments effectively.Evaluate RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure they align with the design intent. Qualifications Degree in architecture or design.8+ years of experience in corporate interior design projects.Licensed Architect. Skills and Expertise In-depth knowledge of design principles and standards.Advanced skills in interior architectural detailing.Expertise in construction document procedures.Thorough understanding of building systems, compliance codes, and ADA standards.Proficient knowledge of space planning and requirements.Strong background in contract administration.Advanced proficiency in Revit.Proven ability to mentor and lead junior staff through a blend of authority and expertise. Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 based on education, licensing, and relevant experience.
