About the position The Kitchen Design Assistant position is a full-time role located at the Modern Cabinet Company factory in Poughkeepsie, NY. This showroom is dedicated to selling cabinetry and related services directly to local customers. The primary responsibility of the Kitchen Design Assistant will be to support the lead designers in various tasks, including sales and design entry. The role will also involve administrative duties such as filing, bookkeeping, and customer management. The assistant will be responsible for showing customers around the showroom, qualifying potential clients, and updating the company's social media accounts. Additionally, the position requires answering phone calls and providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cabinetvision, a design program used in the showroom, although this is not a strict requirement. The role is essential in ensuring that the design process runs smoothly and that customers receive the attention and service they deserve. The Kitchen Design Assistant will work closely with the lead designers to ensure that all customer needs are met and that the showroom operates efficiently.
