Junior Interior Designer job at Hartzog Interiors. Fort Wayne, IN. We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our team. As a Junior Interior Designer, you will assist in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about interior design and wants to gain hands-on experience in the field. This position is for 20-30 hours per week and is based out of our office in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Responsibilities • Assist in selecting and organizing materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories for projects. • Assist in preparation for client meetings. • Coordinate with contractors and vendors during projects to ensure quality execution of designs, including project scheduling and management. Collect project estimates from trade partners. • Conduct site visits to assess progress and make necessary adjustments to designs as needed. • Communicate effectively with clients and be the main point of contact throughout projects. • Organize and put away project samples in showroom studio. • Assist with staging, installations and photo shoots as necessary. • Be willing to travel to pick up and deliver goods/samples. • Be willing to travel to take photos and measurements of client properties. • Consider project budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints throughout the design process. • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions. • Assist the Lead Designer to develop design concepts and present them using sketches and digital renderings. • Create drawings, models, images and other documentation such as finish schedules, elevations, plans, schematics. etc. • Use Slack software to communicate with co-workers on client tasks, timelines and ordering. • Create client look-books based on client design preferences using Canva software. Qualifications • Interior Design degree & experience in the field a plus • Highly organized, collaborative and self-motivated • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Enjoy working with people/personable • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors and to coordinate the project between all parties • Ability to work on multiple projects with different timelines and the flexibility to switch focus quickly as needed • Maintain a strong interest in the luxury and design industry • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required • Proficient in design software such as SketchUp and Twinmotion • Proficient in Canva, Slack & Quickbooks applications desired • Be flexible learning new computer programs as needed Please email your resume to info@hartzoginteriors.com to apply.
