We are a commercial interior architectural planning + design firm located just north of Baltimore in Hunt Valley, Maryland. With over 45 years of experience, we design creative environments for workplace, retail, restaurant, hospitality, educational facilities, healthcare, and assisted living facilities. Dedicated to creating interior spaces that are innovative, highly functional, and accurately reflect each client’s culture, we measure our success by the fact that over 95% of our business is generated from client referrals and repeat customers. We view this as a testament to our stability, unique approach, creative designs, and client confidence.
An ideal candidate would have the ability to: serve on a team alongside a senior designer/project manager; work on multiple project types; work independently on appropriate projects; demonstrate knowledge of all design phases; have creative vision while collaborating to elevate designs to the next level.
Responsibilities:
· Produce construction documentation for accuracy, code-compliance, design intent, coordination, and proper construction detailing/design
· Work within the parameters of the project time constraints
· Generate and develop overall interior design concepts, color/material selections, and specifications
· Prepare design presentation materials and participate in presentations as necessary
· Team and client interaction and coordination throughout the project
· Ability to review construction administration RFI’s and submittals
· Participate in team meetings – weekly design team touchdowns, educational learning, new products and trends, design critiques, etc
· Attend professional organization/networking events with leadership team members as necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
· BFA or BS in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA-accredited program
· Creative, self-motivated, and driven
· Collaborative with ability to communicate ideas and information
· Positive relationship skills with team and clients
· Excellent attention to detail and great organizational skills
Technical Skills:
· AutoCAD Architecture experience
· REVIT experience
· Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop)
· Microsoft Office Suite
