Junior Interior Designer

Barbara Hawthorn Interiors, Ltd. is seeking a full-time Junior Interior Designer. This is a temporary position May-September 2024. Job Requirements... · A college degree in interior design or architecture · Proficiency in AutoCAD required · Knowledge and experience with Studio Designer or comparable project-tracking software · Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint · Highly organized and detail-oriented · Self-motivated problem solver · Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks · Ability to work independently and within a collaborative environment · Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills · Friendly and upbeat demeanor · Must have own vehicle to go to local showrooms, job sites, and meetings Duties: · Work alongside Principal Designer to execute projects from start to completion · Develop AutoCAD drawings and floorplans · Design and draw custom furniture, fixtures and millwork · Create hand sketches to help clients visualize project details · Coordinate and assist with client and job site meetings · Source materials and finishes · Prepare presentations for client and vendor meetings · Purchase and track project materials and furnishings · Coordinate and manage deliveries, storage, and installations · Maintain client design binders and fabric and finish samples About our company: BHI is an award-winning full full-service, prestigious interior design firm located in McLean, Virginia.
