Role and Responsibilities: As a Interior Kitchen Designer at The Home Depot, you will focus on transforming customer ideas into practical and visually appealing kitchen and bathroom designs. You will provide a personalized design experience that aligns with client preferences and project objectives. • Consult with customers to understand their kitchen and bathroom design goals. • Present product options in “good, better, best” categories and provide sample takeaways. • Guide customers through the design process, offering recommendations on products, services, and installation methods. • Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked showroom to create a welcoming shopping experience. • Promote ongoing promotions, financing options, and Home Depot’s advantages over competitors. • Follow up with clients to monitor project progress and address any questions during the design and installation process. • Build and sustain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Required Skills and Experience: • Experience in kitchen, interior, or related design fields. • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach. • Proficiency in design software such as 20/20 Design, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools. • Strong problem-solving abilities to provide solutions for diverse customer needs. • Attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously. • Ability to clearly explain complex design concepts and product features to customers. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in retail or customer service environments. • Knowledge of home improvement products and installation techniques. • Familiarity with 3D design software for kitchen and bathroom planning. • Certification in kitchen or interior design (e.g., NKBA, CKD). • Proven ability to manage design projects from concept to completion.
