About this role
Position Overview: We are seeking a very detail-oriented, creative, and highly organized Kitchen & Bath Designer’s Assistant to support our head kitchen and bath designer in delivering exceptional custom kitchens, baths, and interior spaces. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for design, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The Designer’s Assistant will work closely with the lead designer to assist with client meetings, prepare design documents, source materials, and ensure smooth project execution from concept to completion. Report to the designer with other duties assigned as needed from the office manager
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the designer with preparing presentations, drawings, and renderings using design software and/or hand sketches.
• Source and organize samples of cabinetry, countertops, flooring, fixtures, and finishes.
• Maintain and update material libraries, vendor catalogs, and price lists.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, quotes, and job files.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for product availability, pricing, and delivery.
• Help set up client presentations, organize mood boards, and ensure all materials are ready for meetings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring design studio and showroom.
• Support project management by tracking orders, deliveries, and installation timelines.
• Assist in measuring spaces and gathering site details when needed.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and updating client records.
• Answer the phone, email and walk in clients
• Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design) is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
• A passion for design and willingness to learn about kitchen and bath industry trends
• High school diploma required; additional coursework in design or related field preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
• Combination of office, showroom, and occasional on-site work.
• May require standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs for material handling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
