Interior Designer/Sales Associate

SALES DESIGN ASSOCIATE At Las Vegas Stone & Flooring, Sales Design Associates are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Our newest state-of-the-art showroom located in Northville is looking for an Interior Designer/Sales Design Associate with a love for textiles and design, combined with proven sales ability, and excellent time management and organizational skills. Job Requirements • Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service • Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store • Assist with material selections of tile, wood, and stone to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects. • Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions • Understand installation and use of all products to educate customers • Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others. Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are required • Collaborate, partner and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goals • Enthusiastically support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees • Engage in current and emerging design trends in your market • Maintain showroom appearance, handling tile samples and arranging product merchandising Qualifications: • Minimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience in the hard surface flooring field • Degree in Design is a plus • Knowledge of hard surface flooring and its applications • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales Representative or similar role • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices • Strong work ethic with a drive to exceed expectations • Excellent people person • Professional appearance and presentation • Friendly and outgoing personality • Open to learning and growing independently and from feedback • Work well under high pressure, ability to multi task and manage time • Detail oriented and highly organized • Sense of Design: various styles, colors, and textures • Basic mathematical and computer experience in Outlook, Excel, and Word • Valid Driver’s License and own transportation Hours Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday: By appointment only, meetings from time to time, or catch-up days.
