Interior Designer/Decorator

Interior Designer/Decorator w/ Pembrooke & Ives, Inc. (NY, NY). Responsible for providing development, production support, and coordination throughout the project delivery process as a member of the design team. Use computer-aided design (CAD) to prepare required furniture plans, elevations, custom furniture drawings and lighting drawings required to convey design intent. Requires Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architectural Design, or a related field design field. Requires minimum five (5) years of experience as an Interior Designer, Interior Decorator, Industrial Designer, or related design position. Experience must include: Using computer-aided design (CAD) to prepare required furniture plans, elevations, custom furniture drawings and lighting drawings required to convey design intent; Performing rapid prototyping in AutoCAD to create design iterations for custom furniture; Sourcing FF&E including furniture, window treatments, drapery, fabrics, wall covering, wall treatments, lighting, carpeting, regular painting, decorative painting, decorative finishes, decorative art and accessories; Creating decorating budgets and tracking expenses against them; Reviewing DFAs for approval to begin production on orders; and Utilizing AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Studio Designer, and Microsoft Office programs.
