Interior Designer / Project Manager We are looking to hire an experienced interior designer, with minimum 5 years experience in high end residential ground up construction to join our team. Applicants must have high proficiency in Auto Cad, Sketch Up, Studio Designer. We are a small firm of dedicated designers, and our residential projects range from warm contemporary to classic architecture. Our residential projects are primarily in California, with a few being out of state. Working with the Principals to design/create/conceptualize interior spaces from beginning to end. Assigning tasks, leading, reviewing, and managing junior team members. RESPONSIBILITIES: Full accountability and ownership of multiple interior design construction projects. Creative, organized, and excellent communication skills are key. Lead construction related interior design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development & construction documents. Proactively manage client and contractor communication Collaborate with outside architects, contractors & subcontractors, client representatives, vendors and other 3rd parties. Prepare client presentations & proposals with junior team members to present to Principals Schedule, attend and lead client meetings. Arrange site meetings with contractors/architects when necessary. Create floor plans, elevations and design details Knowledge of Los Angeles showrooms Source architectural finish materials including tile, stone, base moldings and hardware. Source decorative lighting, door hardware, plumbing, all finishes, hardware, etc. Create window covering schedules, lighting plans, finish schedules Prepare budgets and update project schedules Ensure the accuracy, timely installation and quality of all aspects of a remodel project Coordinate and manage deliveries, storage, and installations Keep clients updated and team members informed on all project developments and needs.
