• *Interior Designer, Mid-level** • Charlottesville, VA • Full-Time... • Development & Design • Interior Designer, Mid-level • *Mid-Level Interior Designer, Common House** • *The Role:** Common House is looking for a passionate, hands-on, highly motivated, and creative Mid-Level Interior Designer to join the team. This person will work within a team of in-house designers on internal and external hospitality projects. Applicants should be familiar with the interior design process from design development, materials research, and selection, to procurement, production and installation. • *Main Duties:** • ? Works closely with the Chief Creative Officer/Senior Designer assisting them during all phases of the design process from concept to handover Creates, prepares, and presents design concepts for the review of Chief Creative Officer/Senior Designer • ? Develops design drawings (bespoke furniture, lighting, joinery, layouts) and schedules for the review of Chief Creative Officer/Senior Designer • ? Prepares preliminary FF&E budgets for the review of Chief Creative Officer/Senior Designer • ? Ensures documents and presentations are filed in accordance to Common House Standards • ? Sources finishes, fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, hardware, and accessories • ? Ensures regular reviews at key design stages with Chief Creative Officer/Senior Designer • ? Manages FF&E sourcing to target budgets and timetables on a daily level • ? Assesses and manages prototype stages of bespoke pieces • ? Attends regular site visits at key stages • ? Assist Architects in answering all RFIs during construction • ? Assists FF&E install • ? Maintains sample library • *Skills/Qualifications:** • ? 3+ years of experience in Hospitality & Residential design • ? Bachelors Degree in Interior Design • ? Experience in being part of a collaborative design environment • ? Knowledge of local and online showrooms and resources, industry trends • ? Thrives in a fast-paced dynamic, creative environment • ? Product development is a plus • *Software Requirements:** • ? Professional-level design software proficiency (AutoCAD) • ? Professional-level design software proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) • ?
