Interior Designer – Kitchen, Bath & Whole-Home Remodeling

Ironwood Custom Remodels LLC Durham / Chapel Hill / Raleigh, NC Ironwood Custom Remodels is a high-end residential remodeling company specializing in luxury kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovations throughout the Triangle area. We are looking for a detail-obsessed, technically skilled Interior Designer who can create beautiful, functional spaces, and produce the kind of drawings that make construction seamless. This is not a decorator position. This is a designer who understands layout, structure, cabinetry, materials, and how designs translate into real-world construction. About the Position This is a hybrid role: • Remote work for design development and drafting • Onsite client meetings and job site visits as needed • In-person collaboration weekly • Potential transition to more in-office work as we grow into a showroom/office space Part-time or contract to start, with strong potential for long-term growth. What You’ll Be Designing • Full kitchen remodels • Luxury bathroom renovations • Whole-home remodels • Layout reconfigurations and space planning • Custom cabinetry and built-ins • Lighting and electrical layouts • Detailed finish schedules and selection packages Core ResponsibilitiesDesign & Drafting • Create detailed, construction-ready design plans • Develop floor plans, elevations, cabinet layouts, and sections • Produce accurate renderings for client presentations • Generate specification sheets and selection documentation • Coordinate with the construction team to ensure feasibility • Revise drawings quickly and efficiently when needed Detail Is Everything We are a company that values highly detailed plans. The more clarity and specificity in your drawings, the stronger you stand out. Plans should clearly communicate: • Dimensions • Material specifications • Cabinet details • Appliance locations • Lighting placements • Tile layouts • Trim details • And anything else needed to minimize jobsite guesswork The goal is simple: The field team should not have to interpret your design, it should be crystal clear. Software Proficiency (Required) You must be proficient in at least one (preferably multiple) of the following: • AutoCAD • 2020 Design • Chief Architect • ProKitchen • Or comparable professional drafting/design software Ability to efficiently create detailed, professional drawings is mandatory.
