About this role

Spur Design is seeking a skilled Interior Designer with 3-6 years of experience, NCIDQ certification, and expertise in REVIT. If you’re creative, organized, and passionate about leading innovative design projects while mentoring junior staff, we want you on our team! JOB REQUIREMENTS • Assist the Project Architect and Interior Design Lead in the development and implementation of creative concepts and solutions according to the Scope of Work and client specifications. • Collaborate with and assist the Project Architect and Interior Design Lead in order to develop a project from initial idea to profitable completion. • Some travel may be required • Manage and organize multiple project assignments to complete architectural projects for Interior Designers or Project Architects • Conduct project and product research for finishes, fabrics, and /or furniture selections related to assigned projects. Help establish and maintain the Spur Materials Library in the OKC office. • Develop project finish requirements including but not limited to: Room Finish Schedule, Material Boards, Concept Ideas, and Renderings. • Join team members at weekly coordination team meetings when necessary. • Assist with on-site observations and draft reports for Field Investigations. • Provide interior design in compliance with local, federal and VA TIL standards. • Ability to mentor Interns and Graduate Interior Designers • Daily responsibilities to include but not be limited to: • Working with project team members to produce quality construction documents. • Ensuring compliance with Spur standards and quality control. • Assisting Interior Designers and Project Architects with technical needs and drafting assistance. • Participate in mentorship programs empower spur employees by being an asset to junior staff. • Generates all architectural concepts for interiors projects, including full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating interior design assignments • Provides subject matter expertise on specific components of Interior Design such as, medical equipment, furniture, fabrics, and materials. • Generates interior concepts for projects such as: furniture and equipment planning, special design concepts, signage QUALIFICATIONS • Professional degree of Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design • Registered Interior Designer/ NCIDQ Certified • 3-6 years of professional experience • A portfolio of completed designs • Excellent technical skills, must have REVIT software experience • Strong creative design and ability to find unique solutions to problems • Time management- must be able to work with several designers on different projects • Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills between architectural team, consultants, and clients • Technical knowledge of interior materials, innovative solutions, and cost impacts to projects • Ability to assist in selection of appropriate materials • Ability to present and lead design concepts with clients BENEFITS Benefits offered with the full-time position include 27 total days of paid time off, sick time off, holiday time off; Healthcare, STD, LTD and Life Insurance plans; reimbursement for professional exams and continuing education; and retirement contributions as follows: • 15-25 days of accrued personal time off (PTO) based on years in profession • Paid Holidays including: • New Year’s Day • Spur Design Inception Day (observed the Friday before Memorial Day) • Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday • Christmas Day and the weekdays between Christmas and New Year’s Day • Short-term Disability (STD) and Long-term Disability (LTD) are provided at no charge and include compensation of up to 60% of annual base salary. • Life insurance in the amount of up to $100,000 or 2x annual base salary (whichever is less) is provided at no charge. • Health Insurance, employer covers 100% of employee premiums and 50% of family premiums • Dental Insurance, employer covers 100% of employee premiums and 50% of family premiums • Vision Insurance. employer covers 100% of employee premiums and 50% of family premiums • Retirement benefits include matching 401k contributions of 1-for-1 matching up to 3% and 1-for-2 matching up to 5%, with a maximum match of 4% for a 5% employee contribution. This plan is a “safe harbor” eligible plan and, subsequently, no vesting period is required past initial eligibility requirements. • Spur Design also offers reimbursement of training and professional organization dues or fees with prior approval by ownership.
