Interior Designer - Federal Team job at Grace Design Studios. Pensacola, FL. Description Our firm is looking to add experienced, outgoing interior design professionals to our Federal team in Pensacola, Florida. We have a long history of successful projects and repeat clientele in numerous studios including healthcare, hospitality, senior living, K-12 education, higher education and athletics, corporate, civic, religious, and industrial. Responsibilities • Responsible for space planning, developing, and executing technical documentation including interpreting and organizing project team assignments • Coordinate production of schematic, design development, and construction documents in collaboration with Project Manager • Perform construction administration duties including RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders, etc. • Establish budget, task schedule, and other components of the work plan with Project Manager • Work with the project team to envision the design for the project • Assemble fabrics, finishes, and selections for review and use in the project • Work with the design team to craft the interior architectural envelope to align with the concept story • Responsible for writing FF&E specifications; assembling information about selections, preparing detailed drawings of the furniture for integration in specifications, preparing and issuing of specifications and revisions under the direction of the Senior Interior Designer • Work with design and architectural team to prepare drawing sets, and document interior architectural design in construction documents, including floor plans, RCPs, interior elevations, and details. • Responsible for internal presentation of project design materials to senior leadership for review • Participate in marketing efforts and may lead presentations to prospective clients • Work with engineering consultants through schematic and design development phases • Attend site meetings with owner, consultants, and contractor inclusive of FF&E installation, as directed by PM or Senior Designer • Work hard, play hard, and dominate the day! Required Skills • A professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture • 8 years of experience • Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit strongly preferred • Ability to direct and coordinate work efforts of interns • Experience in all phases and aspects of a project • Familiarity with building codes, specifications, building and engineering systems • Understanding of project management process • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Collaborative and professional work ethic • Licensure preferred or within 12 months of hire • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year CIDA accredited Interior Design program or Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree • NCIDQ certification or preparing to test; sitting for a test is highly encouraged • Possesses knowledge of building codes and the ADA/ABA • Strength in interior architectural design • Any experience with implementation of design requirements of Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, and Air Force strongly desired, but not required.
