About this role
Fantastic, career opportunity for an experienced Interior Designer with commercial design experience and . This is with a well established Interior & Architectural Wisconsin Design firm. Full-time position, 40 hours a week, with potential for some hybrid work but this is not a remote/work from home position. Experience with modular systems products from main-line manufacturers such as Herman Miller, Knoll, Steelcase, Allsteel, Haworth, National, Kimball, OFS, HON and have experience pricing furniture through CAP 2020 or CET software. Healthcare design experience is a big plus. The position requires direct client interaction, involving sales/upgrades for clients, which elevates the designer to be a part of the scope generation direct with the client.
$58-$65k+ with bonus potential and benefits to start.
Basic Responsibilities
• Collaborate on commercial interior design projects with client, sales and architects
• Develop design concepts for clients including space planning, furniture, and finish material selections
• Present design concepts to clients through verbal and graphic communications
• Assist clients with finish material & furniture selections while keeping within budget
• Prepare furniture specifications and installation documents for proposed work
Basic qualifications:
Minimum 3 years relevant interior design experience
Knowledge of furniture; finish materials and specifications
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2020/CAP Studio
Ideal experience:
• Project experience developing furnishings standards for healthcare environments such as; outpatient
clinics, acute-care hospital settings, patient rooms, registration and waiting, nurse stations, tele-health, and
staff support areas.
• Customer experience in navigating on-site programming discussions in the above mentioned
environments.
• Knowledge of furniture finishes, materials, textures and specifications appropriate for the durability &
cleanability required in healthcare environments.
• Project experience in laboratory or pharmacy environments is an advantageous differentiator.
• Experience with CET, REVIT, YULIO, Exposure to Blue Beam, Newforma, MRL
• Experience with LIVE Design
• Knowledge and application experience with architectural finishes
• NCIDQ Certification, or interest in getting certified, a plus
