Summary Description:
Our award-winning Annapolis-based Interior Design firm is currently seeking Interior Designers with proficiency in AutoCAD and hand drafting skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architectural detailing, be able to read plans proficiently, and have knowledge of paperwork and budget guidelines throughout a project. The candidate will work closely with... designers to assist in selecting fabrics, furniture, wallpaper, and accessories.

Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and hand drafting
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing
- Ability to read plans proficiently
- Knowledge of paperwork and budget guidelines
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities:
- Assist with space planning and furniture/accessory placement
- Work independently to shop and pull items for different projects and demographics
- Understand the functionality and feel of designed spaces
- Define the style and feeling of a design based on history and client preferences
- Communicate effectively with vendors and sub-contractors
- Support the team with reselections of fabrics, wallpaper, and furniture
- Handle customer service issues and communicate with customer service representatives
- Assist with window treatments design and calculations in both Builder and Residential departments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
- 2-5 years of related experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work well within a team
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
