About this role

Job Description Our designers work closely with clients in our showroom, design studio, and in the client’s home to create individualized design solutions that are beautifully timeless as well as functional. Designs include space planning, fabric, finish, product and art selection. Projects range from furnishing the full house to sourcing just a few pieces ... Responsibilities: - Collaborate with clients to determine their design preferences, functional needs, and budget constraints - Stay current on design and color trends to create fashionable design solutions - Create and present detailed design concepts, including space planning, elevations, color schemes, and material selections - Source and select furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories from our extensive vendor list that align with the client's vision - Coordinate with contractors, and other professionals to ensure successful project execution - Oversee the installation and implementation of design elements - Provide exceptional customer service throughout the design process - Enter and track your clients' purchase orders - Coordinate with the team to provide exceptional service to customers, before and after the sale, by promptly keeping customers informed of their order status including any delays - Stay current on design and color trends to create fashionable design solutions - Perform any other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members - Sales skills to effectively communicate design ideas and sell products or services - Drafting by hand and with provided computer programs - Ability to accurately measure spaces and draft them to scale for floorplans and elevations Requirements -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field with a minimum of one (1) year of practical interior design experience. -Broad knowledge of interior design; sales and business, customer relations and organization, furniture, fabric, casegoods, softgoods construction, art/art history, principles of art and design - Effective sales techniques Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
