GENERAL SUMMARY: We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer with an eagerness to
advance their career and a passion for healthcare design to join our dynamic team. This role supports the development and execution of interior design solutions that promote a healing, safe, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Working under the guidance of senior designers and project managers, this role focuses on space planning, material selection, and documentation for healthcare-related projects including hospitals, outpatient centers, medical offices, and specialty care facilities.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
• Assist in developing design concepts for hospital and healthcare spaces.
• Prepare drawings, finish schedules, material boards, and presentations for project review.
• Research and recommend healthcare-appropriate finishes, furnishings, and equipment that meet safety, infection control, and durability standards.
• Support space planning activities to improve workflows, accessibility, and patient experience.
• Help ensure design documentation complies with healthcare codes, ADA requirements, and FGI Guidelines.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and design reviews.
• Coordinate with vendors and consultants for material samples, furniture selections, and finish specifications.
• Assist in maintaining design libraries and resource databases.
• Stay updated on current trends in healthcare design and evidence-based best practices.
Education/Experience Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 0–3 years of professional interior design experience, healthcare experience a plus.
• Knowledge of healthcare environments and the special considerations they require.
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Self-directed and motivated.
• Effective collaborator; accountable for self and others.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Certifications/Licensures Required
• NCIDQ certification in progress or goal to achieve within a defined timeframe
