Interior Designer

NOW HIRING INTERIOR DESIGNER As an interior designer at Hernz Home Improvements you will be providing full-service design solutions to homeowners on kitchens, baths, basements and other interior remodeling projects. Hernz Home Improvements will also provide the following benefits: • 10 Paid days of vacation • Six paid holidays per year • Five paid sick days per year • Company laptop, and iPad QUALIFICATIONS: • 3+ years of experience in residential interior design • Basic understanding of residential construction • Proficiency with Autocad is a must • Proficiency with Revit or Sketchup is a plus • Detailed oriented • Highly motivated with strong work ethic • Work well in a team environment • Excellent communication skills SCHEDULE: • Monday to Friday • Weekends if/as needed WORK LOCATION: • In person • 272 US Highway 206, Suite 201, Flanders, NJ 07836 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • Collaborate with clients to determine initial goals, needs and requirements for their spaces • Prepare sketches or visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to clients • Consult with clients to select finishes. May include visiting partnered showrooms • Use design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans • Order necessary materials. Track orders, coordinate deliveries and inspect products • Prepare construction documents such as elevations, selection sheets, tile layouts, etc. • Support project manager to ensure coordination of all design aspects, including but not limited to materials, installation details, and finishing details • Check-in with client periodically to ensure and maintain client satisfaction • Develop sales via referrals, upsells and others -Principals only.
