Interior Designer

id|bp is seeking a Contract Interior Designer to assist in bringing our high-end, custom residential interior design and renovation projects to life. The primary role of this position is supporting our full-time design staff for a 6-month period. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm to be part of a small but nimble team. Key Responsibilities • Efficiently assist the design and management of high end residential home renovations and furnishings • Assist in developing design concepts and client facing presentations • Interior space planning • Create interior design drawings for presentations and construction • Select materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures • Write specifications for selections and ordering • Effectively utilize local showrooms and vendors for furniture and finish selections • Assist with developing estimated budgets and scopes of work • Support lead designers with on site installation and site visits • Effectively communicate between design team, clients, and contractors • Support our team in a variety of capacities and adapt as needs vary Qualifications and Skills • Degree in Interior Design • Experience in residential interior design preferred • Competency in AutoCAD or Revit (Revit preferred) • Ability to work with a team in a positive and supportive manner • Self-motivated • Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail and time management • Basic computer competencies (Microsoft Office, Google Suite) Job Type: Contract, 20 hours, hybrid option for remote and in-office work Timeframe: Approximately December 2024 through May 2025, with some flexibility on start and end dates About Us id|bp is a full service interior design firm based in the Kansas City area.
