Company Description Strategic Spaces is a full service Contract Furniture Dealership with locations in Boston, MA and Hartford, CT. We provide furniture solutions for Corporate, Life Science, Healthcare, Higher Education, Hospitality, and Multi-Family clients. In addition to furniture solutions, We also offer Lab and Fitness Equipment services. Strategic Spaces focuses on creating functional, flexible, and adaptable environments that align with business objectives to deliver high-performance spaces. Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for an Interior Designer at Strategic Spaces. Primary Responsibilities · Work in conjunction with customer, A&D Firms, and account executives to interpret client goals, timeline, and budget requirements · Develop new and creative concepts and space plans that fulfill customer’s design goals · Generate block plans/space plans/full furniture plans and installation drawings in CET as needed · Develop presentation materials, furniture proposals and bid responses in both CET and Adobe InDesign · Attend planning meetings when needed to present plans and information to customer for review and approval · Select, develop, and present product specifications and color/finish boards for client review · Create color renderings and 3D models of the space for client approval · Conduct field verifications on site with account executive to validate building plans and code requirements as well as work with contractors to place electrical locations as needed · Prepare orderable furniture specifications in CET/Spec software; verify accuracy of specifications against plan prior to order placement. · Demonstrate ongoing interest for workplace strategies and trends to maintain an in-depth knowledge of contract office furniture lines & updates in the industry Skills, Ability & Knowledge · Maintain mature and professional interactions with co-workers and clients at all levels · Strong Planning and organizational skills · Solid interpersonal skills and enjoys working collaboratively both internally and with external customers · Working knowledge of building codes & ADA Requirements · Creative problem-solving skills and ability to follow through · Strong attention to detail and technical proficiency · Comfortable in a high energy environment that demands skillful multi-tasking · Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office or the ability to learn programs quickly • · Experience in CET/CAP 2020 and Spec preferred
